Ice Cream Lab: The scientific method is a way to ask and answer scientific questions by
making observations and doing experiments. In this class we will take a simple step-by-
step approach to making ice cream from scratch using the scientific method.

CO2: Examine carbon dioxide in a solid form- dry ice! Dry ice is a frozen gas that will
never melt. It is actually so cold it’s hot. This “colder than ice” solid is 109 degrees
below zero, freezing everything in its path. Did you know dry ice can be used to create
soda? If not, by the end of this class your child will!
Rocks and Minerals: On this day we will slice through the Earth like a piece of piece.
We will examine the layers of our planet and the different rocks that make it up. Children
will classify minerals and even demonstrate an edible rocks cyce. Join us and see how

only planet we know that can maintain life. It is very important that we get to know her
and understand ways to keep her protect. Students will study the many landforms of our
